MANASSAS, Virginia, February 21. WORD out of George Mason University and the AAA Virginia High School League Championships has Sean Fletcher of Madison High taking down the national high school record in the men's 100-yard fly.
According to a report from Virginia, Fletcher clocked a 47.08 in the event. That performance edged the previous record of 47.10 set by both Nate Dusing of Covington Catholic in 1997 and Austin Staab of Westerville Central in 2007. Dusing's mark will remain as the national independent school standard.
Fletcher split the race 21.76 out and 25.32 back.
