Regarding her commitment, she said:

“During my visit to LSU, I felt completely at home on campus as well as around the team and coaches. I love how family-oriented the LSU team culture is and I am so excited to be apart of the Tiger family! #GeauxTigers”

Bridges does her club swimming with Y-Spartaquatics and owns the Junior National cut in the 100 fly. She most recently won the mile and took fourth in the 200 fly at South Carolina Seniors where she achieved three lifetime bests. Last summer, she notched five best times at YMCA LCM Nationals en route to finishing 12th in the 400m IM.

Her best times include:

  • 100 fly – 54.52
  • 200 fly – 2:02.56
  • 400 IM – 4:29.51
  • 500 free – 4:58.04

A rising senior at Chase High School, Bridges is a six-time North Carolina 1A/2A State Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won the 100 fly and earned bronze in the 500 free as a junior while taking first and fifth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

Geaux Tigers!”

Also a talented butterflyer and freestyler, Sweeney is a Junior National qualifier who swims year-round with SwimAtlanta. She raced to fourth in the 200 fly at the Southern Premier Invitational after taking 12th in the 200 fly at Juniors East in December. She won the 200m fly at Georgia LCM Seniors last long course season as well.
