Despite Jacob Nygaard (24.12) and Jarrett Lardy (22.49) of West Fargo splitting faster than Sam Artz (24.45) and Travis Vatnsdal (22.96) in the fly and free legs Century was able to hold onto their lead to finish with a 1:39.47. West Fargo finished second with a 1:39.78.

Century’s success continued in the 200 IM when Loren Sether succeeded in breaking his 2014 state record of 1:54.58. Seth first broke the record during preliminaries with a swift 1:53.36 before finishing five seconds before the competition in finals with a 1:53.81.
