Lochte and Grevers Shine at Dallas Morning News

DALLAS, Texas. January 14. THE Dallas Morning News Classic showcased a wire to wire battle between Florida and Northwestern this past weekend. Florida took home the victory with 342.5 points over Northwestern with 325.

Host Southern Methodist University came in third with 296 points. Florida State University was fourth with 247. University of Washington (223) and the University of Notre Dame (222.5) rounded out the field.

Florida's Ryan Lochte stayed true to his form, winning the 200 free (1:35.57) and 500 free(4:22.81). Teammate Bradley Ally also was victorious in multiple events, taking the 400 IM and 200 butterfly. Ally also placed second in the 200 breaststroke.

Northwestern's Matt Grevers did not step down to the Florida powerhouse. A leader on the Northwestern relays, Grevers also won the 100 (47.16) and 200 backstroke as well as taking the 100 freestyle. His backstroke time of 1:43.66 surpassed Neil Walker's meet record.

Florida ended the night with a stellar performance in the 200 freestyle relay, where Lochte led off in 19.9.
