NEW COMMIT: Alliance, Ohio native and current high school junior Jamyson Robb has handed Liberty University its first verbal commitment for the fall of 2020.

Robb, who owns the U.S. Open standard in the 100 breast with the Summer Juniors cut in the 200 breast, does her club swimming with Canton City Schools and most recently won the 200m breast at Lake Erie Seniors. She recorded a pair of best times at Juniors East in December and raced both breaststroke events at Junior Nationals this past summer.

Also competing for West Branch High School, Robb is a five-time Ohio State Championship finalist and has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors. She won the 100 breast and took ninth in the 200 IM as a junior after finishing third and 12th, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

She told Swimming World:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic careers at Liberty Univerty! So thankful for my family, friends, coaches, and teammates who have helped me get to where I am today. I truly feel this is where God wants me to be, and I can’t wait to be a part of such an amazing team!! #GoFlames”

Her best times include:

  • 100 breast – 1:01.38
  • 200 breast – 2:17.91
  • 200 IM – 2:06.32
  • 100 back – 56.71

Robb will make an immediate impact when she suits up for the Lady Flames as her best times already rank at the top of their roster. She would’ve scored in the A-final of both breaststroke events as well as the B-final of the 200 IM at the 2019 CCSA Championships where Liberty earned the team title.
