Latest NCAA Division I – Top 25 Teams: Auburn Tops women’s List, Auburn and Stanford Tied for Men’s #1

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Jan. 30. THE Tiger is roaring today, with the release of the latest update to the College Swim Coaches (CSCAA) poll for the top 25 teams for men and women. The Auburn Tiger, that is.

Auburn maintained its #1 position in the women's poll, this time a unanimous first-place choice by all the coaches voting. It also jumped from second to a tie for first with Stanford in the men's poll.

Women's Poll
There was little change in the top 25 teams from the last poll two weeks ago. Auburn, Florida and Georgia remained in the top three spots — how's that for SEC power?

USC and SMU moved up a spot to fourth and fifth, respectively, while Arizona jumped all the way from tenth to sixth. Meanwhile, Stanford plummeted from forth to seventh.

Texas dropped to eighth, Cal remained in ninth and Wisconsin fell from eigth to tenth.

The biggest jump of all was made by Alabama, which was unranked two weeks ago, without receiving a single vote, and now stands in the #20 spot.

Men's Poll
The big news was the tie between Stanford and Auburn on the top of the men's poll.

Cal, Michigan and Texas maintained their 3-4-5 positions, respectively.

Minnesota moved from a tie with USC for seventh into the #6 spot, USC remained seventh and Florida fell from sixth to eighth.

Virginia and Wisconsin rounded out the top 10, occupying the ssame 9 and 10 position as they did two weeks ago.
