NEW COMMIT: Purdue University has added another verbal commitment for the fall of 2022 from Junior National qualifier Brinly Hardy of Louisville, Kentucky.

She will join Ana Rojas of Colorado Springs, Colorado, as a member of the Boilermakers’ Class of 2026.

She told Swimming World:

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and athletic career at Purdue University! Thank you to my family, friends, coaches, and teammates for making this possible. I couldn’t have done it without them! Counting down the days until next fall! Go Boilermakers!!!”

Hardy, who does her club swimming with Lakeside Swim Team, most recently earned three best times at Huntsville Futures after finaling in the 50m free and 100m fly at Greensboro Sectionals this past summer. Last short course season, she had a great showing at Cary Sectionals where her highest finish was an 11th-place showing in the 100 fly.

Her best times include:

  • 100 fly – 55.09
  • 200 fly – 2:02.82
  • 200 back – 2:03.49
  • 50 free – 23.68

Currently a senior at Sacred Heart Academy, Hardy is a six-time individual Kentucky State Championship finalist. She placed third in the 50 free and fourth in the 100 fly as a junior while taking fifth and sixth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

Hardy will add valuable depth when she arrives in West Lafayette at the start of the 2022-23 season. She will join a training group led by Claire AbbasseSylvia KobylakKat MuellerKate Saczawa, and Lindsay Turner.
