Lady Vols Add Verbals From Molly Blanchard, Tori Brostowitz for 2023-24

NEW COMMITS: The University of Tennessee has received two new verbal commitments for the 2023-24 season and beyond from Richmond, Va. native Molly Blanchard and Tori Brostowitz of Menomonee Falls, Wis.

Both talented swimmers will join Camille Spink and Sophie Brison as a member of the Lady Vols’ Class of 2027.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“i am SO excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at the University of Tennessee!!! a huge thank you to my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for all of their support and guidance through this process! i can’t wait to be a part of this family and to be a Lady Vol!?? #govols”

Blanchard trains year-round with Poseidon Swimming and most recently raced three events at Juniors East earlier this month. This past summer, she was the 200m IM runner-up at Virginia LCM Seniors before going on to place 16th in the 200m breast at the Speedo Summer East Championships. She attends the Veritas School and is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

  • 200 IM – 2:01.24
  • 400 IM – 4:16.44
  • 50 back – 25.99
  • 100 back – 55.32
  • 200 back – 2:00.54
  • 100 breast – 1:02.46
  • 200 breast – 2:13.26
  • 50 free – 23.77

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am extremely excited and honored to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Tennessee!! Thank you to my family, friends, coaches, and teammates whose endless support and encouragement have helped get me to where I am today. I am beyond blessed, and can’t wait to be a lady vol!! GO VOLS!!!”

Brostowitz, who does her club swimming with Schroeder YMCA Swim Team, recently finished 20th in the 100m breast at the Toyota U.S. Open earlier this month after racing four events at the Speedo Summer West Championships in August. Currently a junior at Waukesha West High School, the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American earned silver in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the 2021 Wisconsin DI State Championships.

  • 100 breast – 1:00.94
  • 200 breast – 2:15.63
  • 100 fly – 54.05
  • 200 IM – 2:00.54
