COPACABANA BEACH, Brazil. December 13. WHEN thousands of people do an open water swim, the start is always exciting to watch.
The annual King and Queen of the Sea (Rei e Rainha Do Mar) is a 2K and 4K race held on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The site of the course is in the same area as the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2016 Rio Olympics. And the intensity among the amateurs is just as high as with the professionals:
