Kentucky Wildcats Score 2024 Verbal Commitment From Taylor Grimley

NEW COMMIT: The University of Kentucky has received a verbal commitment for 2024 from Junior National qualifier Taylor Grimley of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, who will arrive in Lexington as a member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2028.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to the University of Kentucky!! Thank you to my family, coaches, and friends for the amazing support they’ve provided every step of the way. Go Cats!! ???”

Grimley, who does her club swimming with Germantown Academy Aquatics, placed seventh in the 100m fly, 12th in the 50m free and 13th in the 100m back at the NCSA Championships this past summer.

Currently a junior at Germantown Academy, Grimley earned silver in the 100 fly and bronze in the 200 IM at the Eastern Interscholastic Swimming Championships last season as a sophomore.

Her best times include:

  • 50 fly – 25.37
  • 100 fly – 54.56
  • 200 IM – 2:02.05
  • 50 free – 23.60
  • 100 free – 51.78
  • 100 back – 57.25

Kentucky is coming off yet another successful season in 2021-22. They concluded the SEC Championships as the team runner-up with 1043 points, their second-highest finish and second-most point total ever at the SEC Championships. The Wildcats’ NCAA finish of 12th with 115.5 points matched their second-best team finish and marked the second-most points scored in school history.

The 2020-21 season was also one of the history books for the UK women’s team, culminating with the Wildcats winning their first-ever SEC title with a program-record 1,124 points under head coach Lars Jorgensen.
