Katie Ledecky wrapped up her week at U.S. Nationals in Irvine with a win in the 400 free Saturday evening, swimming under world-record pace for the first half of the race before finishing in 3:59.09. Afterwards, she revealed that she will be skipping the 1500 free on the meet’s final day, and she discussed her performances from Nationals.

Ledecky explained that she really hasn’t had a poor swim all long course season, so she’s excited to head to Pan Pacs and race some young talent that includes Australian teenager Ariarne Titmus. Ledecky also discussed what it was like back at her team hotel Friday night as she saw teammate Brooke Forde qualify for the Pan Pacs team.
