Jordan McGinty Stays in State With Early Verbal to Minnesota

NEW COMMIT: Jordan McGinty of Aquajets Swim Club will be staying in state for college. One of the top swimmers in the state for the Class of 2019, she’ll be headed to the state’s flagship school: the University of Minnesota, after giving her verbal commitment to the Golden Gophers.

A USA Swimming Scholastic All-American McGinty is a junior at Wayzata High School, where she will be a team captain next season.

Her top times include:

  • 50 Back 25.67
  • 100 Back 54.97
  • 200 Back 2:00.57
  • 100 Free 49.91
  • 200 IM 2:02.15

At last fall’s Minnesota Class AA High School swimming and diving state championships McGinty was funner up in the 100 freestyle. She also led her team to a second place finish in the 200 medley relay.
