Johnson, Rutherford Win at IPC World Champs

MAR DEL PLATA, Argentina, Dec. 13. JENNIFER Johnson of San Diego won gold in the 50m backstroke for S1 swimmers and Mikhaila Rutherford earned two silver medals in the SM10 division to highlight Day 4 of the IPC World Swimming Championships in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

Rutherford's 2:45.64 in the 200m IM was an American record for the 14 year-old from Alameda, Calif.
