IUPUI’s Bryce Cox Named Mid-Con Diver of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind, December 9. IUPUI senior diver Bryce Cox (Kendallville, Ind./East Noble/University College) has been named Diver of the Year by the Mid-Continent Conference.

This past weekend, Cox swept both diving events at the Mid-Con Championship meet. His victory in those events earned him First Team All-Conference honors.

Cox dominated the three-meter diving event in leading an IUPUI sweep of the top three positions. His winning score of 520.85 was over 100 points better than his second place teammate. He was the first diver in school history to surpass the 500-point mark and destroyed the previous school record by 43.25 points.

He completed his sweep of the diving events with a win in the one-meter event with a score of 315.25 points. It was the second-highest score in school history for the one-meter event with six dives. He finished a commanding 67.10 points ahead of his second-place competitor.
