NEW COMMIT: Indiana University – Purdue University at Indianapolis has received a new verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season from Zoe Hendrickx of Naples, Fla.

Primarily an IMer, Hendrickx does her club swimming with T2 Aquatics and recently placed 15th in the 200m IM at Greensboro Futures after earning six best times at Gainesville Sectionals this past summer. She finished fourth in the 400 IM and fifth in the 200 IM at the Florida Spring Championships in February. Also competing for Barron Collier High School, she finished 11th in both the 200 IM and 100 back as a junior at the Florida 3A State Championships.

She told Swimming World:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my education and swimming career at IUPUI. Thank you to everyone that helped along the way. Go Jaguars!

Her best times include:

  • 200 IM – 2:06.87
  • 400 IM – 4:28.60
  • 100 back – 59.16
  • 200 back – 2:07.52
  • 100 fly – 58.61

Hendrickx will make an immediate impact when she suits up for the Jaguars as a member of the class of 2024 as her best times already rank near the top of their lineup. She would’ve scored in the A-final of the 400 IM as well as the B-final of the 200 IM at the 2019 Horizon League Championships where IUPUI finished second overall in the team standings.
