ISHOF seeks nominations for the 2020 Paragon Awards presented by Pentair Aquatic Systems

The International Swimming Hall of Fame announces the call for nominations for the 2020 Paragon Awards to be presented at the International Swimming Hall of Fame’s Honors Weekend, April 24, 2020 in Fort Lauderdale.  Sponsored by Pentair Aquatic Systems, the awards are presented each year for outstanding contributions and leadership in several swimming and aquatic-related categories.

Candidates may be nominated for the Paragon Awards in the following categories:

  • Competitive Swimming
  • Competitive Diving
  • Competitive Artistic Swimming
  • Competitive Water Polo
  • Aquatic Safety
  • Recreational Swimming

Kindly submit your nominees by January 31, 2020. Please include any relevant data to support your nomination, the aquatic category for nomination, as well as a brief biography of each individual and a high-resolution image.

HONOR DIVER: Matthew Mitcham (AUS)

HONOR SYNCHRONIZED (ARTISTIC) SWIMMER: Elvira Khasyanova (RUS)

HONOR WATER POLO: Mirko Vicevic (YUG/MON)

HONOR OPEN WATER SWIMMER: Marilyn Bell (CAN)

HONOR COACH: Ursula Carlile (AUS) and David Marsh (USA)

HONOR CONTRIBUTOR: Bob Duenkel*(USA) and Peter Hurzeler (SUI)

In addition to the Class of 2020, two Honorees from the Class of 2019, who were unable to attend last year, will be present to be inducted. Honor Swimmer: Otylia Jedrzejczak (POL) and Honor Diver: Li Ting (CHN).
