INDUSTRY NEWS: ADVANTAGE Rent-A-Car Makes A Splash With Olympic Gold Medalist Josh Davis

SAN ANTONIO, November 13. ADVANTAGE Rent-A-Car, the nation's largest independently owned regional car rental company, is pleased to announce its newly-formed partnership with Olympic gold medalist, Josh Davis.

Advantage and Josh both have their roots in San Antonio, Texas. Advantage opened its first store to service the military community in San Antonio over 40 years ago and continues to be headquartered here. Josh, was born and raised in San Antonio, attended the University of Texas at Austin, then returned to once again make San Antonio his home for training as well as business opportunities.

Josh will work with Advantage’s training division, speaking to Advantage employee groups throughout the year about teamwork and discipline. He will also serve as an internal spokesperson, making appearances at Advantage locations for grand openings and customer appreciation days. The culture at Advantage Rent-A-Car evolves around what the company calls the “4 F’s” – fun, friendly, flexible and fair. They expect every customer’s car rental experience to be reflective of these traits and every employee to practice them. These traits parallel Josh’s personal training philosophy that hinges on developing the right attitude and creating a balance in ones life.

“Advantage and Josh just form a perfect fit. He delivers a strong message on integrity, intensity, excellence and drive. These are all qualities we at Advantage hope that we embody for the betterment of our customers’ rental experience and for the environment of our employees,” says Traci L. Esch, Director of Marketing Operations. “We are excited that Josh has chosen to be a part of our company’s growth.”

Josh has recently been inducted into the Longhorn Hall of Honor at the University of Texas and is a member of the bid committee that hopes to bring the US Olympic Swimming Trails to San Antonio in 2008.
