Also competing for Mater Dei High School, Olson finished eighth in the 50 free and 10th in the 100 free as a junior at the CIF Southern DI Section Championships.

She told Swimming World:

“I am very excited to announce my commitment to swim and study at the University of Illinois! I wouldn’t be where I am today without the constant love and support of all those around me and can’t wait to join such an amazing team at a great school. Also very happy to be returning to my birth state! GO ILLINI”

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.95
  • 100 free – 52.00

When she arrives on campus as a member of the class of 2024, Olson will be a valuable asset both individually and on relays. She will add her talents to a strong sprint freestyle group that’ll include Emma CurtisAbby Cabush, and Isabelle Guerra.
