Illinois Girls High School State Championships

NEW TRIER, Illinois, November 25. ROSARY walked away with the state title at the Illinois Girls High School State Championships. Rosary tallied 177 points for first followed by New Trier (129) and Fenwick (96).

North's Lauren Reynolds, Angie Chokran, Taylor Gannon, and Kirsten Hutchinson finished first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:45.82.

Junior Rebecca Stoughton (Notre Dame) had first-place finishes in the 200 (1:50.01) and 500 (4:52.40) freestyles.

Olivia Scott (Rosary), who is a five-star recruit in the Swimming World College Recruit rankings powered by Take Your Marks, was a dual event winner in the 200 IM (2:01.64) and the 100 butterfly (53.09). She teamed up with Sarah Sykstus, Rachel Burke, and Katherine Hare for a win in the 200 freestyle relay (1:35.06).

Top finishers in the diving competition include Stevenson's Kerrin Seymour (439.25), New Trier's Paige Grant (434.10), and Central's Abby Grilli (431.55).

Maddy Urban, Megan Marchuk, Morgan Scott, and Samantha James (New Trier) closed the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:27.63).
