Last winter he earned gold in the 200 IM at the Ohio Winter Championships, earned bronze in the 400m IM at Lake Erie Seniors, and finaled in the 500 free at NCSAs.

Also competing for Hudson High School, Tuckerman is a four-time Ohio State Championship finalist. He placed eighth in the 500 free and 11th in the 200 free as a junior after finishing 16th in the 500 free during his sophomore season.

He told Swimming World:

“I was looking for a college with great academics and a swim program that would be challenging and take me to the next level and the University of Kentucky checks all the boxes.  The campus is beautiful, has outstanding facilities and the swim team and coaches have created a culture of excellence.  I want to thank my Family and Coaches for all their support over the years and a very special thanks to Coach Matt Davis for everything he has done for me, in and out of the water, to make all this possible.  #GoCats!”

His best times include:

  • 100 free – 46.77
  • 200 free – 1:41.46
  • 500 free – 4:33.10
  • 1000 free – 9:43.43
  • 200 IM – 1:57.35

When he suits up for the Wildcats as a member of the class of 2024, Tuckerman will add his talents to a training group led by Jakob Clark and Hank Siefert. He has consistently made improvements each season and will look to carry his recent long course momentum into this upcoming short course season.
