Kenedy Thaman has verbally committed to the University of Arkansas. Thaman is a freestyler for Houston Swim Club.

She shared,

“I’m so excited to join the Razorback family! I found a school and a city that I fell in love with immediately. This team is full of amazing ladies who made me feel welcome. I have no doubt that I will reach my goals with the support of the team, coaches, and university.”

Her best times are:

50 Free – 23.55 Y / 26.87 LCM
100 Free – 51.07 Y / 58.79 LCM
200 Free 1:52.09 Y / 2:08.04 LCM

Thaman swam the 50, 100, and 200 freestyles in addition to the 100 back and 50 butterfly at NCSA Junior Nationals last spring. In December Thaman was a multiple event finalist at the Gulf Zone Senior Championships. At that meet she finished as high as fifth in the 50 freestyle.

She’ll join a pair of Missouri high school and club teammates, Alyssa Lemon and Katiana Porporis who have also committed to the Razorbacks. Thaman is close to scoring in the 50 free at the SEC Championships. Lemon is on her heels, also looking to move into scoring range.
