Futures Champion Allison Tomsuden of North Baltimore Aquatic Club Verbals to LSU for 2020-21

NEW COMMIT: Allison Tomsuden of Marriotsville, Md. has announced her verbal commitment to Louisiana State and will arrive in Baton Rouge in the fall of 2020.

Primarily a distance freestyler, Tomsuden does her club swimming with North Baltimore Aquatic Club and owns the Winter Juniors cut in the 800m free. She won the 1000/1650 free combo at the NBAC Christmas meet in December and most recently competed at the BAC Winter Invite where she recorded a lifetime best in the 200m free. She capped off a successful long course season with a win in the 800m free and a bronze medal performance in the mile at Richmond Futures this past summer.

She told Swimming World:

Her best times include:

200 free – 1:51.32
500 free – 4:54.14
1000 free – 10:04.24
1650 free – 16:46.85

Although she’s not quite in scoring range at the SEC Championships just yet, Tomsuden still has 1.5 years of club swimming still to go before suiting up for the Tigers. Over the past two seasons, she has dropped three seconds in the 200 free, six in the 500 free, ten in the 1000 and 15 in the mile. She’ll also have one year of overlap with top returning LSU distance swimmer Alexis Daniels.
