2019 Fran Crippen Mission Viejo Swim Meet of Champions Day Two: Caleb Dressel Goes 47.90 in Men’s 100 Free
The 2019 Fran Crippen Mission Viejo Swim Meet of Champions entered its second day of competition in Mission Viejo with an eclectic slew of events, as some of the country’s best athletes reconvened for another night in one of the most special meets of the year.
Fran Crippen was a decorated American distance swimmer who transitioned to open water competitions in 2006. He tragically passed away in 2010 at age 26, leaving the swim community heartbroken. Since then, elite athletes from around the world have convened at an annual swim meet in his honor, an event that embodies Crippen with its overflow of talent and elite competitive nature.
