NEW COMMIT: The University of Florida has earned their second verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from high school junior Kenady Beil. The Villa Hills, Kentucky native will join Amanda Ray as a member of the Gator class of 2024.

Beil does her club swimming with Northern Kentucky Clippers and is a six-time Winter Juniors qualifier which includes a pair of U.S. Open cuts in both fly events. She achieved 100% best times at Junior Nationals this summer where she placed 20th in the 200m fly. She finaled in the 500 free at Juniors East last winter and had two second swims at NCASs in March.

Also swimming for Dixie Heights High School, Beil is a four-time Kentucky State Championship finalist. She was the runner-up in the 500 free and finished ninth in the 50 free as a sophomore after placing fourth in both the 50 free and 100 free during her freshman season. Beil has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.

She told Swimming World:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Florida!! I would not be here without the support of my family, friends, & coaches! Can’t wait to be a part of such an amazing team!! GO GATORS”

Her best times include:

  • 100 fly – 55.00
  • 200 fly – 2:00.51
  • 100 free – 51.20
  • 200 free – 1:51.42
  • 500 free – 4:51.78
  • 200 IM – 2:05.20
  • 400 IM – 4:22.47

When she suits up for the Gators at the start of the 2020-21 season, Beil will add her talents to a fly group that includes Ray and Mabel Zavaros as well a mid-distance free squad led by Leah Braswell and Taylor Ault. Although she currently sits outside of scoring range at the SEC Championships, she still has just under two years of club swimming still to go before arriving in Gainesville.
