Florida Gators Get 2021 Verbal Commitment from Denmark’s Oskar Lindholm

NEW COMMIT: The University of Florida has landed their first verbal commitment for their class of 2025 from distance swimmer Oskar Lindholm of Højbjerg, Denmark.

Lindholm swims year-round with Aarhus Swim and has represented Denmark internationally. He recently earned two best times at the Danish Team Championships in December and competed in the 1500m free at the LEN European SCM Championships last year. Last spring, he finished third in the 800m free at the Danish Open behind national record-holder Anton Ipsen and national junior record-holder Alexander Norgaard.

In LCM, his best times include:

  • 200m free – 1:53.43
  • 400m free – 3:57.86
  • 800m free – 8:08.14
  • 1500m free – 15:48.16
  • 400m IM – 4:33.43

In SCY, those times convert to:

  • 200 free – 1:39.30
  • 500 free – 4:26.50
  • 1000 free – 9:06.93
  • 1650 free – 15:29.56
  • 400 IM – 4:00.56

Lindholm will add his talents to an outstanding Gator distance crew that includes Robert FinkeTrey Freeman, and Kieran Smith.
