Flash! Russia Takes Men’s Water Polo Bronze Over Host Greece

ATHENS, Greece, August 29. RUSSIA beat the host country 6-5 to guaranty that all the medals in this tournament will come out of the same bracket.

All three teams that advanced from the bracket in which Team USA finished fourth will be on the medal podium. After classification wins over Australia and Italy, a squad ranked #2 in the world coming into the tournament based on its silver medal at last year’s world championships, the Americans could argue they were the fourth best team, despite their seventh place final position.
