Federica Pellegrini & Matteo Giunta Announce They Are Expecting Second Child

Two-time Olympic medallist and Italian swimming legend Federica Pellegrini has announced that she and husband Matteo Giunta are expecting their second child.

Pellegrini and Giunta welcomed first child Matilde in early January 2024 and on Friday they posted to social media that they are having a second daughter.

They said: “Piovono Polpette” 💞 Unexpected like the most beautiful surprises…We’ll be waiting for you baby girl…..”

‘Piovono Polpette’ is the Italian translation of ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,’ an animated comedy film.

Among those to send messages of congratulations were Sarah Sjöström, who had son Adrian in August, Ranomi Kromowidjojo and Katinka Hosszu.
