Evie Krall verbally commits to Brown.

NEW COMMIT: Junior National qualifier Evie Krall of Annapolis, Md. has announced her verbal commitment* to Brown University and will arrive in Providence at the start of the 2021-22 season.

She will join Sara Barrett and Ellie Brault as a member of the Bears’ class of 2025.

She told Swimming World:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my swimming and academic career at Brown University. Thank you to my coaches, family, and friends for helping me along the way. Go Bears!”

A versatile swimmer, Krall swims year-round with Naval Academy Aquatic Club and most recently earned silver in the 400 IM at Maryland Seniors where she also registered four additional top-15 finishes. She raced four events at Juniors East in December and finaled in the 400 IM at NCSAs in March 2019.

Her best times include:

  • 1000 free – 10:14.68
  • 1650 free – 17:06.36
  • 200 breast – 2:19.97
  • 400 IM – 4:21.94
  • 100m breast – 1:15.94
  • 200m IM – 2:21.97
  • 400m IM – 4:58.86

Last summer, she won the 200m IM at TYR Summer Seniors while also grabbing silver in the 400m IM and bronze in the 800m free. A rising senior at Severn School, Krall has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors and has earned All-Conference accolades the last three seasons.

Krall will make a big impact when she suits up for the Bears and could find herself in a number of different events given her versatility. She would’ve scored in the B-final of the 400 IM at the 2020 Ivy League Championships where Brown finished fifth overall in the team standings.
