Euro Junior Bronze Medalist Tuncer Berk Ertürk Commits to Georgia Tech

NEW COMMIT: Georgia Tech has earned a new verbal commitment for the 2025-26 season and beyond from Tuncer Berk Ertürk of Ankara, Turkey.

He will join Tobin Uhl as a member of the Yellow Jackets’ Class of 2029.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I am happy to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and swimming career at Georgia Tech! I’d like to thank all of the coaches, team mates, friends, and family that have helped me to reach this point for their endless support! I would also like to thank the Georgia Tech coaching staff for giving me this opportunity. Can’t wait to be a Yellow Jacket. STİNG EM !!!”

Training year-round with Galatasaray Spor Kulubu, Berk Ertürk is a Turkish National Age Group record holder for 13-14-15-16-17-18 age groups.

A 200 fly specialist, he won that event at the 2023 European Youth Olympic Festival and took fifth place at 2023 European Junior Championships. He also led off the bronze medal-winning 4x200m free relay at European Junior Championships.

His best times include:

  • 200 fly – 1:58.62
  • 100 fly – 55.85
  • 400 IM – 4:24.94
  • 200 free – 1:50.41
  • 400 free – 3:58.70

In SCY, those times convert to:

  • 200 fly – 1:44.34
  • 100 fly – 49.05
  • 400 IM – 3:52.91
  • 200 free – 1:36.58
  • 500 free – 4:27.45

Berk Ertürk best time in the 200 fly (converted to yards) would’ve scored in the B-final at the ACC Championships.
