Erika Brown, Joey Reilman Lead SEC Weekly Honors

The SEC announced its weekly swimming and diving honors on Tuesday.

Men’s Swimmer of the Week: Joey Reilman, Tennessee

Tennessee’s Joey Reilman won two individual events and was a part of three winning relays as the Vols took first place in the Tennessee Invitational. He posted an NCAA A-cut time of 1:39.36 in the 200 back, the second fastest time in the NCAA this year, and recorded B-cut times in the 200 free (1:33.52), 100 back (46.08) and 50 free (19.91). In the leadoff 100 free leg of the 400 free relay, Reilman also registered a B-cut time of 42.70.

Men’s Diver of the Week: Zhipeng (Colin) Zeng, Tennessee

Tennessee’s Zhipeng (Colin) Zeng won two events and placed second in another as the Vols won the Tennessee Invitational. He took the top spot in the 1-meter springboard (428.55) and platform (492.40), and was runner-up in the 3-meter (393.90).

Men’s Freshman of the Week: Andrew Abruzzo, Georgia

Georgia’s Andrew Abruzzo posted three NCAA B-cut times at the UGA Fall Invitational. He posted the top freshman time in the conference in the 400 IM at 3:45.70, ranking him 16th nationally overall. Abruzzo also posted times of 4:19.28 in the 500 free and 15:11.73 in the 1650 free.

Women’s Swimmers of the Week: Erika Brown, Tennessee

Tennessee’s Erika Brown tallied three individual race wins with A-cut times and was a part of all five of Tennessee’s relay victories as the Lady Vols placed first in the Tennessee Invitational. She took first in the 50 free (21.65), 100 fly (50.71) and 100 free (47.18). Brown is ranked second nationally in the 50 free (21.52 in prelims), third in the 100 fly (50.46 in prelims), fifth in the 100 free and 12th in the 100 back (51.88 in prelims).

Women’s Diver of the Week: Rachel Rubadue, Tennessee

Tennessee’s Rachel Rubadue led the women divers with her first-place finishes in the 1-meter (283.05) and platform (278.15) at the Tennessee Invitational. She also earned a second-place finish in the 3-meter (308.55).

Women’s Freshman of the Week: Dakota Luther, Georgia

Georgia’s Dakota Luther posted the best time in the SEC this season in the 200 fly and the sixth best time nationally with her winning time of 1:53.55 at the UGA Fall Invitational. She also posted NCAA B-cut times in the 100 fly (52.62) and 200 free (1:47.02). Luther was a part of the 800 medley relay team that posted an A-cut time of 7:01.29.
