Ella Hansen Sends Verbal Commitment to Mizzou
NEW COMMIT: The University of Missouri has received a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from Junior National qualifier Ella Hansen of Shawnee, Kansas.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am beyond thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at The University of Missouri! I want to thank my friends, family, and coaches for making this possible, and I wouldn’t be who I am today without them! Can’t wait to be a tiger!! … Welcome to MIZ!!”
A freestyler and butterflyer, Hansen does her club swimming with Empire KC Swim Club and placed fifth in the 100m fly and 15th in the 200m fly at San Antonio Futures this past summer. She was the runner-up in the 100 fly at Columbia Sectionals back in March.
Her best times include:
- 100 free – 51.31
- 200 free – 1:52.70
- 100 fly – 53.99
- 200 fly – 2:05.21
Currently a senior at Mill Valley High School, Hansen earned gold in the 100 fly and silver in the 200 free at the Kansas 6A State Championship during her junior year. She finished second and fifth, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.
