NEW COMMIT: Duke University has received its first verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season from U.S. Open qualifier Clare Logan of Westfield, New Jersey.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am thrilled to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Duke University! I want to thank my family, friends, coaches, and teammates who have supported me through this process and helped me get to this point. I also want to thank the coaches at Duke for this amazing opportunity. Go Blue Devils!!!”

Logan trains year-round with Fanwood Scotch Plains YMCA and most recently raced to 14th in the 100m back at Junior Nationals after winning both the 50m and 100m back at YMCA LCM Nationals this past summer. Back in March, she earned bronze in the 100 back at YMCA SCY Nationals.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 22.54
  • 100 free – 48.81
  • 50 back – 25.11
  • 100 back – 53.15

Currently a junior at Westfield High School, Logan won the 50 free and 100 back at the 2022 New Jersey Meet of Champions.

Logan is a great addition for the Blue Devils both individually and on relays, as her best time in the 100 back and 100 free would put her in the B-final at the 2022 ACC Championships.
