Defending America East Champions New Hampshire Pick Up Verbals from Kiersten Donnelly, Kiki Lindsay

NEW COMMITS: The University of New Hampshire has scored a pair of verbal commitments for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Pottstown, Pa. native Kiersten Donnelly and Kiki Lindsay of Portland, Ore.

Both talented swimmers will join Maddie Fritz in Durham as a member of the Wildcats’ Class of 2025.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of New Hampshire. I chose UNH because of the many amazing opportunities and the incredible coaching staff. Thank you to my family, friends, coaches, and teachers for their continued support. I can’t wait to be a part of the team! Go Wildcats!”

Donnelly does her club swimming with the Upper Main Line YMCA and most recently placed ninth in the 200 fly at the PA YMCA East District Championships in March. Last summer, she raced five events at YMCA LCM Nationals.

Her best times include:

  • 50 back – 27.89
  • 100 back – 57.47
  • 200 back – 2:06.70
  • 50 fly – 27.09
  • 100 fly – 57.11
  • 200 fly – 2:07.00

Also competing for Mercersburg Academy, Donnelly is a six-time Eastern Interscholastic League State Championship finalist. She placed seventh in both the 100 fly and 100 back as a junior while taking fifth in those events during her sophomore season.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m so excited to announce my commitment to further my academic and athletic career at the University of New Hampshire. Big thanks to my family, friends, and especially Coach Emily who have helped and supported me every day on and off the pool deck. I’m stoked to attend college in the east coast and join an amazing group of ladies and coaching staff. I can’t wait to call UNH home for the next 4 years. Go Wildcats!!💙🐾”

Lindsay trains year-round with Lake Oswego Swim Club and finished 11th in the 400 IM and 12th in the 500 free at December’s Washington Open. She finaled in four events at Mount Hood Sectionals last long course season before going on to place 20th in both the 200m breast and 400m IM at Mount Hood Futures.

Her best times include:

  • 500 free – 5:03.21
  • 100 breast – 1:05.30
  • 200 breast – 2:19.71
  • 200 IM – 2:06.88
  • 400 IM – 4:28.72

Currently a senior at Sunset High School, Lindsay is a six-time Oregon 6A State Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American was the runner-up in the 500 free and placed ninth in the 100 breast as a junior while taking third in the 100 breast and sixth in the 200 IM during her sophomore campaign.
