The CSCAA has awarded its annual All-American honors to the NCAA Division I women’s swimmers and divers.

There were 79 women who earned first-team All-American honors for individual events. There were 125 relay first-teamers and 93 second-team All-Americans.

The CSCAA generally goes with the top eight swimmers as first-team and the 9-16 performers on second team, but this year was a little different.

Penn transgender Lia Thomas was awarded All-American honors in her three events but the CSCAA also awarded ninth place as first team in Thomas’ events as first-team as well, also the 17th place swimmers earned second-team honors.

So that means in addition to the top 8 in the 100 free, 200 free and 50 free, Florida’s Tylor Mathieu is first team in the 500 after taking ninth in prelims, Virginia’s Reilly Tiltmann is first team in the 200 free after finishing ninth in prelims, and Cal’s Isabel Ivey was first-team in the 100 free after taking ninth in prelims.

Meanwhile, Virginia Tech’s Reka Gyorgy is second team in the 500 after taking 17th, with the same situation for Florida’s Ekaterina Nikonova in the 200 free and Texas A&M’s Chloe Stepanek in the 100 freestyle.

Lia Thomas doesn’t deserve this. You know why.

Because though Thomas now wants to be a girl so as to become a winner in swimming, an achievement Thomas was unable to attain as a boy on the boys team, the equally foolish and spineless CSCAA has enabled this ridiculous notion.

William Thomas, you will never be a woman. You will look at your stolen trophies with shame. You can only lie to yourself for so long before the clock runs out.

What a farce… Awarding a he/she an All-America status. Thomas should NOT be in that group.

I Fear to see what the next couple of years look like for women’s sports on the collegiate level. All the NCAA’s decisions will seep into all levels of women’s sports.

Lia cheats since he has a rudder and the women don’t

Apparently not enough rudder to produce any drag, though. 🙂

I am going to explain to my girls that swimming is not a sport anymore for women,,,so I am going to suggest competing in other ways where I know that it’s fair and would not be stolen from ppl like Lea or the ppl that are in deep pockets with politicians and money,,, I don’t see swimming anymore has a sport for women and I won’t be cheering,, because it sad anymore to watch these women that work all their life’s to get where they are to be stolen from them,,,I hope one day this upside down world will correct its self and ppl will find their voice and I am not going to take it anymore and to hell with what they might try,,, because being silent is what got alot of us where we are at,,, because we are to afraid to speak up and shut the others one’s up

It’s gonna take a boycott of any event he is competing in and let him swim alone!

CSCAA just joined the pack of losers instead of acknowledging that Lia is not a woman and is not deserving of honors as a woman in sports. Period. They should have taken a stand and print Lia his own Transgender All American Certificates. Honestly , how much would those three certificates cost? $3.00? Instead, they are rubbing in the unfairness. Awarding an extra certificate does not make up for the emotional losses to the women displaced.

This seems like a very fair compromise. If anyone doubts the intimidation and hate that transgender athletes face just read the comments on this post.

There is no hate because they are Transgender. We are angry at the blatant cheating that is being allowed. The demoralization of women in their own sport by genetic males. Don’t make this about your soap box issues. No one cares if they Transgender but to get what they want they are going to have to give things up…like competing against women XX

We don’t hate transgender persons but oppose the unfairness of men competing against real women. As far as intimidation goes, how do you think the women competitors feel standing on the starting blocks next to a 6′ 4″ man who is physically overpowering against them. How is it fair for a transgender person to think their “right” to compete should supercede the rights of actual females to an equitable competition.
Stop the delusions and get a grip on reality

Thomas is 6′ 1″. That’s 1 inch taller than Katie Ledkey.

We know nothing specific about her biology, except for certain that it is not the same as a man’s. To say that it is simple unfactuactual. She has been on HRT for 34 months.

Hate? No. Indignation at being forced to kowtow to 1 – 3% of the population? Good chance.

Red hair is found in 1-2% of the population. We shouldn’t cowtow to them either.

Stop all these nonsense while it is still early. Let no biological male race in the womens competition. Make another category an open category or a transgender category. Stop oppressing the womens category.

Once again Liar Thomas is allowed to take what is not His. When does the swimming world along with the world do what is right and eliminate him from womens competitive sports and put him back in the men’s leagues. He will always be genetically a man and have an unfair advantage.

If one believes that this transgender issue will make things better then someone explain how ones sex cells say male but competition says female. They can NOT change sex cells they can only do plastic/artifical changes which have nothing to do with the crated body. The mind is not pliable. It’s just change able. It has nothing to do will the cells make up. Apparently some don’t understand this.

Focusing only on Lia Thomas is what is truly taking away from women in sports. There are many competitors in the field, hyper focusing on one athlete deminishes everyone else’s hard work. If people really cared there would be protests in the streets calling for Russia to release our WNBA athlete from incarceration.

So much ignorance and hate that is completely unacceptable. I don’t see respectful comments here and wish this magazine would filter obvious hate. Lia is a woman. From all of the results it is also clear that she is not dominating this sport. Yes, she is a competitive athlete who has to try to tune out all of the negativity. I truly feel bad for how she has been treated.

If you want respect, you have to show respect. There is no respect given to actual female competitors when a man posing as a woman competes in their division.
Lia Thomas is NOT a woman except in his own mind, something that is completely obvious to all of us with any common sense. Lia is free to compete in the men’s division regardless of how he identifies.

Erica, you don’t have to participate in this man’s lie. He hates women, you know.

More like he hates himself and perpetrating that hate on women. He’s a fraud and doesn’t deserve any accreditation
