SARASOTA, Florida, June 26. CORINNE Showalter, a six-star recruit in the Class of 2009 Swimming World rankings, verbally committed to the University of Florida this week.
Showalter, who has a profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings powered by Take Your Marks, already owns an NCAA Division I Championship A Final time in the 500-yard free of 4:41.91.
She also would have scored points in the 1650-yard free (16:08.13) and 400-yard IM (4:13.21) with B Final readouts. Additionally, Showalter is qualified to swim in the 400-meter free (4:13.62) and 800-meter free (8:40.49) at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
Showalter joins another six-star early commit in Mary Beck, who pledged her loyalty to the University of Texas earlier this year.
