NEW COMMIT: Colorado State University has received a verbal commitment from Pinopolis, South Carolina’s Sarah Mundy who will join the Rams in the fall of 2019.

Mundy swims year-round with South Carolina Swim Club and has met the Winter Nationals standard in the 50m free. She competed at Cary Futures over the summer and finished 17th in the 50m free with a new lifetime best. She earned a pair of best times at Juniors East last winter, won two events at SC SCY Championships and was a four-time Greensboro Sectional finalist.

Mundy also represents Berkeley High School and is a four-time SCHSL 4A State Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won the 50 and 100 free during her junior season after placing second in both events as a sophomore.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I’m thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Colorado State University!! I love the team, coaching staff, and felt welcomed on the campus! Go Rams!“

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.57
  • 100 free – 51.63
  • 200 free – 1:51.22
  • 100 fly – 57.94

Mundy will provide the Rams with valuable sprint depth when she makes the move out west next fall. Her fastest 50 free time would’ve ranked second on Colorado State’s lineup last season while her 100 would’ve sat in third.
