Caspar Corbeau Dominates 200m Breaststroke At Geneva International Challenge

Caspar Corbeau dominated the 200m breaststroke before heading the 50 semis on day one of the Geneva International Challenge.

The Netherlands swimmer was consistently top-tier in the closing months of 2025. He became the first man to crack the two-minute mark in the 200m breaststroke (short-course) when he went 1:59.52 at the final World Cup stop in Toronto.

He also secured the Triple Crown with a sweep of the 200 events.

Corbeau travelled to the short-course Europeans where he won gold in the 100 breast and silver in the 200, despite illness.

The 2025 world bronze medallist led throughout to touch in 2:11.44, with a winning margin of more than three seconds over Noah de Schryver (2:14.70) with Andrea Prapugicu third (2:15.25).

Corbeau – now coached by Mark Faber in Antwerp – returned to head the 50 breast semis in 27.45.
