Carr to Transfer to Arkansas from Georgia

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark., July 10. STEPHANIE Carr, a two-time honorable mention All-American at the University of Georgia, will be transferring to Southeastern Conference rival Arkansas.

"We are very fortunate to have Stephanie joining us at the University of Arkansas," Lady Razorback head coach Jeff Poppell said. "Having the opportunity to coach her for 12 years at The Bolles School, I can honestly say that she is probably one of the most driven and hardest working individuals that I have ever coached."

As a freshman, Carr finished ninth at the 2005 NCAA Championships with a time of 16:14.77, making her the highest finishing freshman in the 1650 freestyle that season. Carr finished in 12th place in the 1650 freestyle at the 2006 NCAA Championships with a time of 16:22.99 and 13th in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:45.21.
