NEW COMMIT: Rollins College has received their first verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Dalton Huskth of Durham, N.C.

He will arrive in Winter Park, Fla. as a member of the Tars’ Class of 2025.

He told Swimming World:

“I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my education and continue my swimming career at Rollins College. I knew immediately when I visited Rollins and met with Coach Julianne Kurke-Lehner that this was where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life. The campus is gorgeous, the pool is beautiful and Coach Julianne is amazing! Go Tars!”

A talented freestyler and butterflyer, Husketh does his club swimming with Carolina Aquatic Team. He most recently earned two best times at North Carolina Seniors in February where his highest finish was a 19th-place showing in the mile. At the ECA Southeastern Classic in November, he recorded six top-12 finishes.

Last summer, he won the 200m fly and achieved four new lifetime bests at the MOR Long Course Eastern Qualifier before going on to take ninth in the 800m free at Tar Heel States.

His best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.91
  • 100 free – 51.96
  • 200 free – 1:53.39
  • 500 free – 5:05.45
  • 1000 free – 10:18.14
  • 1650 free – 17:32.47
  • 100 fly – 54.54
  • 200 fly – 2:02.02
  • 200 IM – 2:10.54

Also competing for Northern Durham High School, Husketh has competed at the North Carolina 3A State Championships the last three years. He finished 16th in the 500 free as a junior while taking 18th in that event during his sophomore season.

In 2020, he finished eighth in the 500 free and 10th in the 100 fly at the NC 3A Central Regional Championships. Husketh placed fifth and fourth, respectively, in those events in 2019 at the 3A Eastern Regional Championships.
