SAN FRANCISCO, California, May 2. LOWELL swept both the men's and women's competition at the California Interscholastic Federation San Francisco Section Championships, which is the first of eight California section championships.

Team Scores
Lowell easily walked away with the women's title, scoring 122 points. Washington took second with 62 points while Lincoln finished up in third with 60 points.

The Lowell men blasted the competition, winning by more than 100 points with a final tally of 170 points. Washington garnered the second-place honors with 49 points while Galileo placed third with 29 points.

Women's Individual Results
Lowell took two of the three relays. The 200 medley relay contingent of Erica Fung, Tracy Tang, Monica Morucci and Christina Loo crushed the competition with a 1:59.45 time while the 400 freestyle relay team of Fung, Cerice Tang, Loo and Tracy Tang touched first in 3:55.22.

Lincoln's Roselin Sretpisalslip emerged victorious twice. She took the 200 IM in 2:19.53 before coming back to win the 100 backstroke in 1:02.12.

Tracy Tang also picked up two first-place finishes. She stopped the clock first in the 200 freestyle (2:06.64) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.37).

Men's Individual Results
Lowell dominated the relays, winning all three. Anthony Li, James Bautista, Stanford Chun and Alden Chan teamed up in the 200 medley relay, taking the event in 1:47.01. The Lowell 200 freestyle relay (Allen Du, Henry Szeto, Christopher Lee and Bautista) corralled a win with a 1:36.28 time while the 400 freestyle relay grouping of Chan, Szeto, Stanton Huang and Lee set a section record with a time of 3:25.50. Their time erased the former mark of 3:26.55, which Lowell set last year.

Chan demolished the field in each of his individual-event wins. He completed the 50 freestyle in 22.14 and set a section record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.71. His 48.71 swim reset his 2007 record of 48.91.
