Caitlin Leverenz Controls 400 IM Prelim At USA Nationals

Caitlin Leverenz cruised to the top spot in the women’s 400-meter IM prelim at USA Nationals this morning in 4:41.76. Leverenz added 6.30 seconds from her seed time, but she was able to comfortably control the session’s swim.

Leverenz Splits

1:03.00 – 1:12.94 – 1:19.13 – 1:06.69

Madisyn Cox, who finished second in the 200-meter IM, now holds the second seed with a 4:42.43. Sarah Henry sits right behind Cox at 4:42.84. Emily Cameron posted a 4:43.81 to earn fourth. After Cameron comes Katherine Mills (4:45.61), Catalina Corro Lorente (4:45.74), and Bethany Galat (4:45.76) who all sit in the 4:45-range. Mia Nonnenberg closes out the top eight with a 4:46.25.

Swimming in tonight’s B Final are Jimena Perez Blanco (4:46.77), Lauren Driscoll (4:47.01), Kaitlin Pawlowicz (4:47.76), Annie Zhu (4:47.90), Savanna Faulconer (4:48.08), Chelsie Miller (4:48.41), Sonia Wang (4:48.96), and Carly Cummings (4:49.62).
