NEW COMMIT: Sectional qualifier Bryce Grover of Las Vegas, Nevada, has announced his commitment to continue his academic and swimming career at Chapman University beginning in the fall of 2021.

He told Swimming World:

“I’m happy to announce I am continuing my education and swimming career at Chapman University! I want to thank my parents and coaches for helping shape me into the person, student, and athlete I am today.”

Grover, who does his club swimming with Sandpipers of Nevada, picked up five lifetime bests at the Las Vegas Super Finals Invite in December. In November 2019, he was also a five-time Nevada Championship finalist.

His best times include:

  • 100 free – 50.32
  • 200 free – 1:48.51
  • 500 free – 4:53.93
  • 100 back – 53.88
  • 200 back – 1:55.23

Also competing for Somerset Academy – SkyPointe High School, Grover earned bronze in both the 100 free and 100 back at the Nevada 3A/4A State Championships during his sophomore season.

Grover will make an immediate impact when he arrives on campus as a member of the Class of 2025. He would’ve ranked second on their lineup last season in the 100 and 200 back, qualifying for the B-final in both distances at the 2020 SCIAC Championships.
