Brenda Larson, Eden Prairie Swim Coach, Perishes in Boating Accident

Brenda Larson, a swim coach with the Team Foxjet Swim Club, was pronounced dead Saturday after being thrown from a boat.

According to Ann Urschel, head coach of Team Foxjet Swim Club, Larson was great with the kids and primarily coached five- to eight-year-olds.

Larson was on boating with Matthew Kinghorn and a four-year-old child on Cass Lake when the three of them were thrown from the boat.

A local fisherman recovered Kinghorn and the child but Larson was unconscious and unresponsive when found. She was pronounced dead soon after being brought to the Cass Lake Hospital.

Currently the incident is still being investigated.
