Brandon Seider Is New Coach of Santa Barbara Swim Club

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., June 24. Brandon Seider, longtime assistant coach of the Santa Barbara Swim Club (SBSC), has been elevated to head coach, effective September 1.

Seider replaces Ira Klein, who has accepted the post of Director of Field Services for USA Swimming.

Seider, who has served as Assistant Coach and Masters Coach at the SBSC for the past nine years, has also been the Assistant Coach at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) for the past two years.

Seider's wife, Wenke Hansen-Seider, will remain as the SBSC's Head Age Group Coach.

Seider told SwimInfo: "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, a dream job. I've enjoyed working under Ira and am incredibly grateful for all he has taught me. Now I'm looking forward to carrying on the great tradition of excellence at the Santa Barbara Swim Club."
