Braden Vines Breaks 100 Breast State Record At Texas 6A Prelims

Braden Vines broke the Texas state record in the boys 100 breast to highlight 6A prelims, stopping the clock in 54.37. The University of Texas commit is also the top seed in the 200 IM with a time of 1:47.77.

Jack LeVant will also swim in the middle lanes in two events tomorrow afternoon. The Stanford commit won prelims in both the boys 200 free (1:36.28) and 500 free (4:22.56). He broke the state record in the 200 free earlier this month.

For the boys sprints, Clayton Bobo will be the top qualifier in the 50 free (20.26) and Kaloyan Bratanov is the fastest seed in the 100 free (44.34).

2017 World Championship team member Dakota Luther is the top seed in the girls 200 free with a time of 1:47.48. The future Georgia Bulldog is seeded second in the 100 fly (52.93) as well.

For the girls sprints, Emma Stephenson will be the top qualifier in the 50 free (23.06) and Ella Collins is the fastest seed in the 100 free (50.16).

Finals begin tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. CST. Results can be found on Meet Mobile – 6A Prelims.

    Yip, that was a fast prelims heat for 100 Breast! Today’s going to be fun to watch!
