Lydiah Almeter gave Boise State another verbal commitment. The high school senior lives in Allen, Texas and swims for Texas Ford Aquatics. She’ll be bringing her sprint freestyle skills with her to Idaho next fall.

“I’m super excited to announce my verbal commitment to Boise State University! The swimmers and coaching staff felt like the perfect fit! Can’t wait to join the Bronco family!” she shared.

Almeter’s best times are (SCY/LCM):

  • 50 Free 24.10/ 27.18
  • 100 Free 53.93/ 1:00.90
  • 200 Free 1:59.83/ 2:16.55

From 2015-2016 she took four tenths off her best 50 freestyle time, a half second from her 100, and six from her 200 freestyle best.

Yesterday Boise also added Scottsdale’s Hayley Hill and Emma Segneri to the Class of 2021. Both of those girls also have strong freestyle times with Segneri leading the way on the sprint side of things.
