KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, February 13. THE girls national high school 200 medley relay records were on the hit list heading into this evening. Within hours of Carmel High taking down the record at the Indiana High School State Championships, the Baylor School took dead aim during the Tennessee Interscholastic State Championships.
The Baylor School contingent of Arden Pitman (25.29), Alison Lusk (29.33), Anna Gwarjanski (24.63) and Sloane Pitman (22.38) put together a scorching time of 1:41.63 in the girls 200-yard medley relay.
That performance beat the independent school record of 1:42.35 set by The Bolles School in November. The readout also broke the overall record of 1:42.09 set by Carmel earlier in the evening. Carmel's record will remain as the public school standard.
