A native of Escondido, Calif., Gharbaoui is primarily a sprint freestyler and owns the Winter Juniors standards in both the 50 free and 100 free. She raced a trio of events at Juniors West in December after recording four best times at Santa Clarita Speedo Sectionals this past summer where her highest finish was a fifth-place showing in the 50m free.

Also competing for Mount Carmel High School, Gharbaoui has competed at the CIF State Championships each of her four high school seasons. The NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American will add valuable sprint depth to the Seminoles’ lineup when she arrives in Tallahassee this fall and will join a training group led by Emma Terebo.

She told Swimming World:

“I am beyond thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to Florida State University! When I stepped on campus, I truly felt at home. The coaches are amazing and I know that I will continue to grow both athletically and academically at FSU. Thank you to my family, friends and coaches who have all supported me over the years. I can’t wait to be a Nole!”

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.23
  • 100 free – 50.96
  • 200 free – 1:53.42
  • 100 fly – 56.02

Hailing from Poway, Calif., Marsh is a strong distance freestyler and butterflyer who recently raced five events at Carlsbad Speedo Sectionals. She had five top-10 finishes at the Imperial Winter Age Group Championships in December and notched a personal best time in the 200m fly at Santa Clarita Speedo Sectionals last summer.

Marsh represented Poway High School at the CIF State Championships during both her sophomore and junior seasons. When she suits up for the Roadrunners at the start of the 2019-20 season, she will be a valuable asset to their roster as her best times already rank near the top of the lineup.

She told Swimming World:

“I am really excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim Division 1 at Cal State Bakersfield! I am so happy to be a part of this amazing team for the next four years! I’d like to say thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for always giving me love and support through everything. Go Roadrunners!!”
