Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to announce that I have verbally committed to swim and study at The University of Pittsburgh! I am beyond thankful for my family, coaches, and teammates who have supported and encouraged me all throughout the process. Looks like I am going to be a panther for another four years! HAIL TO PITT”

A versatile swimmer, McFaddin does her club swimming with Southern Crescent Aquatic Team and won the 50 fly at Georgia Seniors in December. She registered five top-20 finishes at the Georgia Open last summer before going on to finish 15th in the 100m fly at Georgia LCM Seniors.

A rising senior at Starr’s Mill High School, McFaddin is a six-time Georgia 1-5A State Championship finalist. She placed fourth in the 100 fly and took ninth in the 100 back as a junior while racing to third and seventh, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.

A freestyler who gets faster as the distance gets longer, Mock swims year-round with Cape Cod Swim Club and owns a pair of Junior National standards. She most recently won the 1000/1650 free combo at New England 15-18 Age Groups in March after placing 13th in the mile at Juniors East in December.
