Australians Hayden Stoeckel and Brenton Rickard Look Forward to World Championships on The Morning Swim Show, June 12, 2009
PHOENIX, Arizona, June 12. Australian Olympic medalists Hayden Stoeckel and Brenton Rickard talk to host Peter Busch in today's interview section of The Morning Swim Show.
You can watch the video below and see Stoeckel, a bronze medalist in the 100 back in Beijing, talk about the excitement surrounding the backstroke events lately. He also talks about Ryosuke Irie setting world records and Michael Phelps deciding to train for the backstroke races. Rickard, who won a silver medal in the 200 breast, talked about Australia's chances for gold in the medley relay at the world championships, as well as his own chances for individual gold. He also talked about the advantages of training at altitude recently and competing in the United States.
